Undiscovered Band Of The Month: Kissing Tigers

Meeting over six years ago on the notoriously rowdy campus of UC Santa Barbara, Kissing Tigers' music has always been a byproduct of their environment. With Belmont Woods, the Los Angeles based quintet's forthcoming EP, the band draws references from Pulp's imaginative story-telling, New Order's danceable melodies, and Sparks' sexy charisma. Yet, the band's innovative song writing skillfully blends these influences into a sound uniquely their own. With its breathy vocals complimenting wistful/relaxed synths and melodic guitars, this band's light-hearted, California charm won't be mistaken as another British import.
