The Loudest Show On Earth?

175motleycrue041508

Hot out of the press release inbox, you are cordially invited to attend THE LOUDEST SHOW ON EARTH.  Quite the claim to uphold we think, even if they are excluding extraterrestrial pursuits, but the bands attempting this feat will include: Motley Crue, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, SIXX:AM and Trapt.  Unfortunately, this tour hits our area on, um, laundry day, so we'll miss out on the promised raucousness, but it got us wondering about the loudest shows we've been to.  This will obviously depend on venues and sound techniques, but some of our finalists included concerts by Dinosaur Jr, Mogwai and AC/DC

What do you think would win as the loudest show on earth?  (Or perhaps as a more realistic endeavor: what's the loudest show you've attended?)

Wallpaper Offers To Remix Your Fave Tune

175wallpaper021908

To celebrate the digital release of Wallpaper’s digital EP T-Rex, frontman Ricky Reed will remix a song of your choice to be made available with then EP drops on April 29. So get hunting through those stacks of vinyl to find the weirdest, wackiest or cheesiest single that you’d like to hear Wallpaper remix.

The ideal format is .aiff or .wav files, it would mean Ricky can bang that sucker out and get a second half-hour of his daily massage.  But if not, it can be submitted in whatever format you have: mp3, vinyl, cassette tape, 8-track, etc.

E-mail the title and artist of your submission to contest@eeniemeenie.com along with a link to whatever version you can find or create and put online. As long as we can hear it once, we can put it among the submissions and if your song is selected, we'll contact you to get the best version you have. The deadline for submissions is April 17, so hurry!

Get inspired by watching the video for "T-Rex":
