Swooning over Silversun Pickups in Studio

 

Silversun Pickups are at it again in the studio as the prepare for their highly anticipated early 2009 release on Dangerbird, Swoon!  This time around they will be taking  a different approach to the process as they'll be writing everything at once in the studio rather than in a live setting.  We look forward to hearing the results!  In the meantime, download  a free issue of Ragged issue #2 to read more about SSPU!

The Cinematics were asked by Indie 103.1FM in Los Angeles to play live on "Dead Air."  Indie is the station that Rolling Stone ranked  "The #1 coolest radio station," so it was both appropriate (and an honor) to have Cinematics on.  Here they are live in the studio, performing "Strange Education."  For more of the Cinematics, download a free issue of Ragged #2!

The Republic Tigers Make iTunes Download of the Week!

This just in!  The Republic Tigers have made it to the coveted "Single of the Week" spot on iTunes! Check out this sweet video for "Call it Off" by the industrious Canadian duo Tegan and Sara...I guess some people can look good in white!  The girls were featured in Ragged mag #3 which is available for download!

Bitter:Sweet Drama in Lipstick Jungle

Bitter:Sweet's "The Bomb" made its way to American television screens as the theme song for Lipstick Jungle since the show's February debut.  If it passed by your radar earlier this year, make sure to catch the second season's premiere on Wednesday, September 24 at 10/9c to hear it in its full glory.  "The Bomb" was on the band's May released-album, aptly named Drama.
